Class Action Watchlist
Class Action Watchlist
Follow ongoing class actions. Claims aren't open yet.
How the Watchlist works
These class actions are followed from filing through certification, before any settlement. No claims can be filed yet, and any claims process could be years away. Once a case settles and a court approval hearing is scheduled, it moves to the Class Action Tracker, where claims are open or imminent.
The gap
Canadian class action claims. Worth filing.
Every year, Canadian courts approve class action settlements covering bread, credit card fees, wireless billing, defective products, tainted water, securities disclosures. The claims are real. The money is real. But the notice rarely reaches the people entitled to it, and the paperwork is often dense enough to discourage filing. Claim.ca built the Class Action Tracker to close that gap.
How it works
Three steps. No lawyers required.

Imagine a company overcharges a million customers a few dollars each.
On their own, hardly anyone would go to court over a few dollars.
A class action changes that. One case is brought on behalf of everyone affected.
That group is called the class.
Many class actions end in a settlement. The company agrees to pay money into a fund, without a trial.
But first, a judge must approve the settlement as fair.
Then the claims period opens, run by a claims administrator.
To get a share, you usually have to file a claim before the deadline.
Miss the deadline, and you usually miss out.
The fund is often shared among everyone who files, so when many people claim, each payment can be smaller.
The lawyers who run the case are called class counsel. The court approves their fees, which are normally paid from the settlement.
So filing a claim usually doesn't mean hiring a lawyer.
Claim.ca tracks class action settlements across Canada, so you never miss a claim.
01
I find the claims
I monitor court approvals, administrator notices, and public filings across every Canadian province. When a claim opens, I write it up in plain language.
02
You check if you qualify
Each claim page lays out the class definition, the eligibility criteria, and what you could recover. No jargon, no buried fine print.
03
You file your claim
I show you exactly how to file, what documents you need, and where to submit. The claim and any recovery go directly to you.
Built by Canadians, for Canadians
Built carefully. Built honestly.
This tracker is maintained by Marty Mikhail, a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, who operates Claim.ca. I built it because I kept seeing Canadians miss claims they were entitled to. The information they needed existed, but it was buried in court filings, administrator notices, and legal language most people don't read. This tracker translates that information into something Canadians can actually use.
Built for Canadian class actions
Every claim in the tracker is relevant to Canadians. No U.S. fine print, no cross-border confusion, no irrelevant noise.
A Claim.ca resource
The Class Action Tracker is maintained by Marty Mikhail, a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, who operates Claim.ca. The tracker itself is an information resource: it does not provide legal services or legal advice. Claim.ca is not counsel on these proceedings, and Marty Mikhail and Lemonade Law™ are not counsel on them unless stated.

Emails and alerts for class action claims
Choose what you want to hear about. Free, and no account needed: a working email address is all it takes. Every email has an unsubscribe link and your address is never shared.
The best place to start. Once a month, one short email lists the new Canadian class action claims added to the tracker and the ones that opened for filing. Tick the second box to also be emailed the moment a settlement opens for claims. The alert covers settlements anyone might qualify for. Where every class member is already known and has been notified directly, the tracker lists the settlement but sends no alert.
