On February 21 and March 11, 2020, the gondola-type ski lift at the Mont-Sainte-Anne ski resort abnormally and abruptly stopped while passengers were aboard. Class actions were brought against Station Mont-Sainte-Anne inc. on behalf of the people who were in the gondolas during these two events.

On April 1, 2026, by judgment of the Honourable Jacques G. Bouchard of the Superior Court, the court approved a Settlement Agreement for the benefit of class members. Class members can now file a claim under four compensation categories: Common Damages for all class members, and the Severity 1, 2 and 3 categories depending on the severity of the injuries or financial losses suffered.
