A class action was brought against BigSteelBox Corporation over property that was stored in containers at its facility at 37400 North Parallel Road in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and damaged by flood water during the Abbotsford floods in November and December 2021. The case is called Heimburger v BigSteelBox Corporation.
The lawsuit has settled, and the Court has approved the process for making claims. A settlement fund of approximately $1,000,000 is available to pay all eligible people, known as Class Members, who file a valid claim. A court-appointed administrator will review each claim and its supporting Schedule of Loss to determine any entitlement.

A settlement fund of approximately $1,000,000 is available to pay all eligible claimants. MNP Ltd. and its appointed appraiser will use the information in your Schedule of Loss to determine the actual cash value (depreciated value) of your damaged property and your share of the fund. What documents do I need to provide?
You must attach a copy of your valid government-issued photo identification and a completed Schedule of Loss, both of which are mandatory. If available, you should also include your BigSteelBox container rental agreement and any invoices, photographs, or other documents that support your claim.
What happens if I do nothing?
If you do not make a claim, you will not receive any money and you will give up the right to claim money in the future.
