The lawsuit said this caused economic loss to people who bought the products. Chocmod Canada Inc. denies all wrongdoing, and no court has found that it did anything wrong.\n\nThe parties reached a proposed settlement that creates a $300,000 fund to pay eligible class members, along with notice, administration and legal costs. Chocmod has also agreed to change the branding of the products, adopting the name Truffettes à la Française or, if trademark approval is not obtained, displaying Made in Canada more prominently on packaging.
